2 Kings 4:2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. KJV
Our opening scripture is the story about a widow who was at her wits end – her husband had died leaving debt behind, and the creditors had come to take her two boys as slaves.
When she went to the prophet Elisha for help, the prophet asked her, what do you have in your house? She replied, a pot of oil. And with that oil, the power of God came upon it and resulted into several gallons of oil which brought the widow’s misery to an end.

THE WORD OF FAITH

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

I know that some section of believers have problem with the “word of faith movement”; but that doesn’t make any difference. Actually, they are the problem. If any one has a problem with the message of faith, I wonder how that fellow got born again because, one can only get born again by faith in Jesus. Now why will you be against something that gave you eternal life and delivered you from the wrath to come?

Thank God for our fathers who brought us the message of faith. People like E. W. Kenyon, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland were folks who spear-headed the word of faith movement and brought us the message of faith. These men shook their world and are still shaking it. And in recent times, we have Bishop David Oyedepo also at the forefront of the word of faith movement.

CALLED TO A LIFE OF GLORY

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

What a calling we have in Christ Jesus! We have been called to glory; this implies that we have been called to a life of glory, beauty and power. Anything less than glory is not our inheritance. Sickness is not glory; there is no glory in poverty; there is no glory in oppression; there is no glory when your landlord is threatening to eject you out and you can't pay the children school fees and they are at home.
