2 Samuel 21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.
As at this time Israel was at war with the Philistines. A giant named Ishbi-benoh rose up against David to kill him. But because of the timely intervention of Abishai, David was delivered and Abishai killed the giant. Upon this, the men of David told him not to go out to battle again.

GOD DOES NOT CREATE FAILURES

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. You are a success; don’t be surprised by this bold statement. Now someone may be saying, everything about my life is not working and my life is going down the drain; why do you say that I am a success? The fact that your life may be headed in the wrong direction and things might not be working for you as it ought to, does not change God’s plan concerning your life.
