Luke 15:22-23 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Many of us are familiar with the story of the prodigal son in the scriptures. This was the fellow who couldn’t wait for his father to die to inherit his estate. He demanded for his inheritance; and not many days, he journeyed to a far country and wasted his substance on riotous living.
It became so bad that he went to work in a pig farm, something that was an abomination for Jews. When he finally came to himself, he returned to his father’s house. The conventional thing was to teach this wasted fellow a big lesson by beating the nonsense out of him. But upon his return, the father did something that was unconventional:

FAITH STABILIZER

One of the dynamics of the grace of God is that it is constant. This is because grace has to do with Jesus, and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). But in order for grace to work for you, it will require your faith for we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8).
But the problem is that we are not always operating at our highest level of faith. The believer can be weak in faith and at times strong in faith. Due to these fluctuations in faith, God in His infinite wisdom gave us a stabilizer to stabilize our faith. And that stabilizer is speaking in tongues – praying in the Spirit. I can’t really see how someone who does not speak in tongues will have his faith work. There is a relationship between your faith and speaking in tongues.
