MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR WORLD

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Somewhere last year, I travelled to Nigeria. While there I had the opportunity to preach in a couple of churches. One of the churches I preached was in a little town. I was told of a remarkable story of one man from the town who was making a huge difference in that town.
This man single handedly tarred the main road with street lights in the community, which spans several kilometers. The man has a company built in that community which employs indigenous people in that town. This man also pays all the pastors in that town every month, irrespective of your church – as long as your church is in that community, you are on his pay roll.
This man’s birthday is on New Year’s Eve and I understand that on that night, the whole town is lit with all kinds of merry making. Fire crackers worth several thousands of dollars are used on that night. This man has left footprints in this little town where he came from. If every successful man will go back to his town or village to impact there, I believe society will be far better than what we have today.
One man has made a difference in a whole town. What difference are you making today in your world? What foot prints are you leaving in the sands of time? Make up your mind today to make a difference in your world. Don’t leave this world the same you met it. Let your impact be felt in this world. Do something to change your world.
Jesus died to save the world 2000 years ago and we are still talking about it. Moses brought Israel out of Egypt; Paul impacted his world with the gospel; Nelson Mandela ended apartheid in South Africa; Martin Luther brought reformation to the world and fought against segregation. Kenneth Hagin blazed the trail with his faith message which is still changing the world today. These people changed their world. You are next in line.
Jesus said, let your light so shine; it means let your impact be felt in your world. Our world is filled with men who have blazed the trail and changed the world. At the same time, there are those who have destroyed this world. Decide where you will be today. Begin in your family and your community where you live. Anyone who meets you should feel your impact. Do something to change your world. Writing this daily devotional is one of the ways I am changing this world and making an impact.
