Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, NKJV

This is one of the most beautiful ministry of the Holy Spirit to the believer in Christ. And I believe it is the least said ministry of the Holy Ghost. The Amplified translation puts our opening scripture this way: The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God (ROMANS 8:16) AMP.

How do you know that you are born again or saved? Is it by looking at how changed you have been in your character and morality? Or by how prosperous you have become ever since you got saved? The way you know that you are born again is the witness the Holy Ghost gives you on the inside. You just know that you born again beyond the senses and feelings.

Galatians 1:6‭-‬7 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

The word “pervert” in our opening scripture is from the Greek word “metastrephō” which according to Thayer means to turn around. Strong defines it as to turn across, transmute or corrupt, pervert, turn. It actually means to “transmute” the gospel of Christ into another of a different kind which is not the gospel.

Transmutation is about changing the true nature of an object thus making it totally different from the original one. It is like changing gold to brass. And this is what some section of the body of Christ have done to the glorious gospel of Christ. They have changed the gospel of grace into another of a different kind (heteros, Greek) gospel which is not another of the same kind (allos, Greek).

Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

There is a difference between “power” and “authority”. Unfortunately, in the King James Version of the Bible, the word “authority” is often translated “power”. Thus if you don’t study it in the Greek rendering you will not get the right interpretation of scriptures.

For instance, Matthew 28:18 says, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (KJV). The word “power” here is from the Greek word “exousia” which means “authority” or “delegated power”.

John 1:12‭-‬13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

When we talk about the new creation, we are referring to the born again believer in Christ. We are talking about the man whose spirit has been recreated and imparted with the life and nature of God. The new creation is the man whose spirit has come alive to God and he is in oneness with Him.

I believe the revelation of the new creation is what will change the church of Jesus Christ. Without the true revelation of the new creation, we will live defeated lives, being whipped by the enemy and the forces of life. You have to make it your top priority to learn all you can about the new creation.

GOD IS NOT OUT TO PUNISH YOUR SINS

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

One major truth of the gospel is that, God is not out to punish your sins. Our opening scripture is clear that God sent His Son not to condemn but to save men’s lives. If God had wanted to judge and punish us for our sins, He would not have sent a Saviour but a judge. But the good news is that God sent His beloved Son to die as a sacrifice for sins on the cross by a criminal and shameful death, the just for the unjust.

Unfortunately, if you listen to what some folks preach, it is as if God is out to mark every sin of yours and deal with you. Some even say that, in heaven, God will play your whole life of sin on a screen for you to see. Scripture says, your sins and lawless deeds, I will remember no more (Hebrews 8:12). How can you play something that has not been stored? God does not have drive space to store your sins. Then why the cross and the blood of Jesus?
