Psalms 68:11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

God is the only one who gives the word. The word of God is God’s word. We cannot get it from anywhere else. The scripture was given by God’s breath or the inspiration of God. And as we read and study the word, the revelations that we receive comes from the Holy Spirit whom is the breath of God.

We can not use our human minds to know the word. It will take divine revelation to get the word unveiled to you. Even though we use our minds to read and study the word, it will take revelation that comes via our spirit man to know the word. This is simply because it is the Lord who gives the word.

THE POWER OF REFRESHING

THE POWER OF REFRESHING

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Refreshing strengthens you. We live in a world full of stress and demands that sometimes take so much energy out of us. Even physically, we need moments where we go somewhere to refresh ourselves by taking time out of busy schedules and spending time relaxing. These are times of Refreshing.

This is why vacations are very important part of our lives. It gives us time to refresh ourselves with new energy, passion, dreams and drive. We all need to be refreshed spiritually from time to time to be strengthened for victorious living. Apostle Paul prayed an all important prayer for the Ephesian brethren which is still relevant for us today:

PERFECTED IN LOVE

PERFECTED IN LOVE

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

When you preach pure grace, some folks reaction is, don’t you think this preaching will make people sin the more? This kind of reaction lets me know that I am preaching pure grace. To some of these people, you need to tell people that if they don’t live right they will burn in hell.

I do counsel people to live right. In fact, my standard of right living is probably higher than some of these folks who preach hard against sin. But I don’t live right to be accepted by God – I am already accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6). Neither do I live right because I am afraid that if I don’t live right, God will burn me in hell; I am perfected in love. I know that God’s wrath will never fall on me because it fell on Jesus at the cross.

GRACE FOR REIGNING

GRACE FOR REIGNING

Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Contrary to popular opinion, grace is not a license to sin. Rather grace is what makes you reign in life by Jesus Christ. Grace is the all encompassing gospel of Jesus Christ and it is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Thus grace is the power to save men. How can something that has power to save men be a license to sin? Most people in the body of Christ are really confused about the message of grace; and that’s why they keep on making the assertion: be careful with this grace movement and grace preachers because they will lead you to sin and to a lose life.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

When going to war, it is important that you get to know the arsenals that you have at your disposal. It helps you to know whether you are able to win the battle or not; and also helps you to know which other arsenals you need to add to your armoury.

As a child of God, you have divine arsenals given to you by the Spirit of God. Firstly, you have the presence of God. With God’s presence Joseph prospered greatly in Egypt till he rose up to become the second in command in a foreign land.
