THE BLOOD OF JESUS HAS POWER

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Many believers around the world sing about the blood of Jesus but few knows the power it wields. The blood of Jesus has more power than what most believers presents it to be. In my estimation, a lot of believers are guilty in sinning against the blood of Jesus; they put the blood of Jesus on even a lesser pedestal than the blood of bulls and goats.

Under the Old Testament, there was a yearly sacrifice of sins called the “Day of Atonement”; in Hebrew it is known as “Yom Kippur”. On that day the high priest went into the Most Holy Place with the blood of bulls and goats. The blood of bulls was for his personal atonement while the blood of goats is for the atonement of the nation of Israel. If God accepts their sacrifice, they were free for another year. This they did year to year. But scripture says, God found fault with this kind of practice.

YOU HAVE POWER, LOVE AND SOUND MIND

2 Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Fear is slavery and its for slaves while power, love and sound mind is freedom which is reserved for sons in the kingdom of God.

Our theme scripture is awesome. It tells us what has not been given and what has been given to us in Christ. When you get to know what you have then you will know how to use it. One beautiful thing about the New Testament is that, we are not trying to get something; all things have been given to us freely in Christ Jesus. Our responsibility is to search out what has been given to us in order to take advantage of it.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Faith gives you dominance over the circumstances of life. Nothing can stand in the way of faith. Faith crushes anything that stands on its way.

You need to think faith. Faith need to dominate your thinking. You must be a faith person. Don’t live by your senses for we walk by faith, not by sight. If you walk by sight, you will sink; if you walk  by faith, you will stay on top of the water.

You must have a faith mindset where you see everything through the eyes of faith. When  you come to that level, you don’t see impossibility anymore; all you see is possibilities for to him who believes, nothing shall be impossible to him.

Psalms 37:4 Enjoy the LORD , and he will give what your heart asks. CEB

I love the CEB translation for the opening scripture. It says, enjoy the Lord, and He will give what your heart asks. The kingdom life is about enjoying life in Christ. God does not want us to delight in the things of the world; rather He wants us to delight ourselves in the Lord. It implies that God wants you to delight in prayer; delight in the word of God; delight in going to church; delight in evangelism and touching lives; delight in cheerful and generous giving.

Mary so delighted in sitting at the feet of Jesus; and the Lord Jesus commended her for choosing that virtue.
Luke 10:41-42 The Master said, “Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.” MSG
