Psalms 119:92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

There is a way out of every trouble and predicament under the sun. And the way out of your trouble is the word of God. There is no trouble or problem that is beyond the word of God. Every problem has its solution rooted in the word.

But the key in releasing the power in the word to bail you out of your trouble is “delighting in the word”. Our opening scripture says, Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. The man got out of his trouble because he delighted in the word of God.

CHOOSE THE PATH OF OBEDIENCE

Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. KJV

Jesus chose the path of obedience; He obeyed the Father even unto the death on the cross. And by His single act of obedience many were made righteous, and we are still reaping from His obedience. Had He refused to obey God, the whole world would have been lost. But thank God He chose the path of obedience. Today, we are fruits of His obedience.

You have no idea what your obedience to God’s word and instructions means to God and the kingdom of God. Many of us today are reaping from men who chose to obey the calling of God upon their lives. A man like Archbishop Benson Idahosah's legacy still lives on till today. His life of obedience has brought tremendous blessings to the whole world, especially the church in Africa. He pioneered many movements in the body of Christ; today many of us are proofs of his legacy.

CONSISTENT CONFESSION ESTABLISHES THE TRUTH IN YOUR LIFE

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If you don’t engage in a consistent confession of a truth or revelation, it cannot be established in your life. To establish means to be rooted and grounded and made firm. Thus if you want God’s word to be established in your life, you will have to engage in a daily and consistent confession of God’s word.

I have found out this practice to be true. It is the same with establishing a doctrine in a church. A doctrine that you taught only once cannot be established in your church. In order to get a line of revelation to be established in your church, you have to teach it all the time and repeat it in your sermons; that’s the way to establish a doctrine in a church.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

One time I read an article about a fellow who was attacking one of the renowned men of God in this country for saying that depression is demonic. The fellow couldn’t figure out that depression is a demonic thing. Well, that’s ignorance gone to sea.

Depression is demonic. That’s what the Bible teaches. Psychology will say depression is an emotional problem; scripture calls it the “spirit of heaviness”. Isaiah 61:3 says, To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;...... The NIV translation calls it “the spirit of despair”.

So while Psychology is saying depression is an emotional thing, scripture says, it is a spirit. You have to believe what the scripture is saying than what Psychology or any professor tells you.
