MEDITATE ON THE WORD DAY AND NIGHT

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. KJV

The meditate is from the Hebrew word “hagah” which means to think, muse pensively, ponder, imagine, mutter, speak under your breath and to roar. These are different levels of meditation. Meditation is not something you do once a while. If you want to have good success as the Bible teaches, you would have to meditate on the word day and night. This is a daily and a consistent thing you have to do.

Meditation is the birthplace for light; meditation brings light; and light brings faith; and faith is what you need to please God; and the just shall live only by faith. Thus if you don’t meditate, there are depths of revelations you will not be able to access them.

Ephesians 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

If you don’t read this scripture in context, you will not appreciate it that much. So, let us look at it in context: Ephesians 3:8‭-‬10 says, Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Apostle Paul says that, his intention of preaching the gospel is to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, so that the church will teach the principalities and powers the many-sidedness of the wisdom of God.

Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

The Holy Ghost is here to garnish your life. It means He is here to beautify your life. The Holy Ghost can make a beauty out of your life if you let Him. His ministry to you is that of a glorious one which brings the beauty of Jesus out of you.

The problem with many of God’s people is that we haven’t learned to yield our lives to the Holy Ghost. Many haven’t considered His person and ministry in their lives. Others are not even conscious of Him. While others disobey and resist the Holy Ghost.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. KJV

Motives are simply the reason for doing or having something. The reason for having something is more important than the thing itself. If your motives are not right you will not receive what you asking God for. Right motives are one of the rules of answered prayer. Get your motives right for that which you desire from the Lord.

Simon the sorcerer wanted the ability to pray for people to receive the Holy Spirit – but his motives were wrong and hence his methods of achieving that was also wrong. He nearly received curses from the mouth of Peter.

Isaiah 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

The revelation of the righteousness of God is one revelation that you need to know for yourself. It is the main doctrine of the New Testament. Every other doctrine hinges on this revelation. It is the doctrine that differentiates between matured believers and babes in Christ.

Hebrews 5:13‭-‬14 says, “Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
