Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
When Jesus taught that we should take heed how we hear, He went on to say that, to him that has, more shall be given to him and to him that has not, even what he has shall be taken from him. What it implies is that, the more you hear, more is added to you but the one who does not hear, even what is supposed to come to him through his hearing of the word will be taken away from him – he ends up as a loser.
This is what makes the difference in a church – those who are hearing and those who are not. You realize that in a church, those who hear the word more, gets better than those who don’t. The more you hear the word, the more divine health comes to you; the more you hear the word, the more life comes to you; the more you hear the word, the more power is granted you.
If you want more in life, the key is to hear more and the more you hear, the more you will have and the more you will do. If you don’t have more of the revelation of financial prosperity, how will you increase in it? It is not possible and this applies to every area of life.
So, wisdom demands that you pay diligent attention to the hearing of God’s word. The more of the word you hear, the better life becomes. Don’t go to church and sleep through the sermon.
Sermon time is time to increase and have more – if you sleep or you engage in ungodly chatter or get distracted, you will end up losing big time. Stay focused and get the best out of each service you attend as you pay diligent attention to the word of God preached.
