JUST THINK A LITTLE!

Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Several years ago, there was this great man of God who had one of the largest television outreach ministries, with several millions of dollars coming to his ministry. He was one you will term as the movers and shakers in the church of Jesus Christ at the time. He was really doing very well in ministry.
All this came to a halt one time. It was found that this great man of God had an affair with a prostitute in a hotel and the whole thing came to the open – this was the genesis of this man’s trouble; his glorious ministry hit the rocks. If this man of God would have thought a little what his action will lead to, losing a global ministry, I believe he would have thought twice. I am in no way judging this great man of God; I am just trying to give you wisdom – we can learn from the mistakes of others.
One sin that Adam committed plunged the whole world into chaos. If Adam had thought a little about the consequences of his actions; that this sin will lead to hell, diseases, oppressions, terrorism, deaths, accidents, poverty, children born without limbs, and the likes, he would not have done what he did.
If people will think just a little, they will not do the dumb things that they do. If young folks who are engaging in premarital sex will think a little, that getting involved in such act will result in unwanted pregnancy, STDS, and a host of troubles, they will not get involved in such untoward behaviour. If your head is working, you will not be sleeping with your mother’s age all in the name of looking for money. Are you mad? Your hands are not cut off; use it to work.
God gave you a head; use it. Anytime you are tempted to do the wrong things, just pause and think a little – think about the consequences of your actions whether they are worth the act. One act of sin that David committed led to several repercussions – he committed murder, his son raped his own sister, his son killed his own brother, his son chased him out of town, he lost Absalom to the sword. It took God’s mercy to keep David’s dynasty.
Consider your ways whether they are pleasing in God’s sight. Don’t let your emotions run your life – use your head. Joseph escaped the trap of Potiphar’s wife because he used his head. The devil entered that evil woman to kill Joseph’s dream of greatness. Bless Jesus that he resisted that temptation; later on, God promoted him to become the second in command in all of Egypt. You have a great life ahead of you; use your head and keep your life safe.
