1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Praying scriptural prayer refers to content; this implies that the content of your prayer is scripture. Praying this way helps you to pray the will of God effectively and you can never pray amiss.
Pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Ephesians 1:17-18 says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”
Pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 says, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”
Pray that you will stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Colossians 4:12 says, “Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”
Pray that Christ be formed in the saints of God. Galatians 4:19 says, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,”
Pray that you will be strengthened with all might in your inner man. Ephesians 3:16 says, “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;”
Pray for your pastor for utterance. Ephesians 6:18-19 says, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,”
Pray for your pastor that his message will have free course and also to be delivered from wicked and unreasonable men. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 says, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.”
