THE MYSTERY OF THE AXE HEAD THAT FLOATED

THE MYSTERY OF THE AXE HEAD THAT FLOATED
Monday, 31st December 2018
Pastor Victor

2 Kings 6:5‭-‬6 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed. And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

The axe head is the most important part of the axe. With it you can chop any wood down. Without the axe head, there is no use of the axe. The axe is only complete with the head on. The axe head is a picture of man. Man is the crowning beauty of God’s creation; he is the apex and zenith of God’s creative work.

When God created animals, vegetation, sun, moon and stars, he said it was good. But when man was created scripture says, and God saw that it was very good. Without man God’s creation is not complete. Man did not originate from apes as science would have us believe. Man was created by God on the sixth day of creation.

BECAUSE OF THE COVENANT

BECAUSE OF THE COVENANT

2 Samuel 9:1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

God is a God of covenant. He is a covenant keeping God. Over the centuries, God has kept His covenants that He swore to different men of different dispensations. Not one time has God ever failed to keep His covenant, for His covenant will He not break nor alter the things that be gone out of His lips (Psalm 89:34).

When David conquered Jerusalem, he swore that no lame person will ever enter the palace. And you know, where the king’s word is there is power. No one was supposed to violate that decree; violation of it could mean death to the offender. But Mephibosheth entered the king’s palace; and not only that, he ate continually with the king all the days of his life. Now what happened? Did king David go soft? No! The answer is the covenant.

THE HEART OF THE FATHER

THE HEART OF THE FATHER

Pastor Victor

2 Samuel 9:1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

A true revelation of who God is will make your walk with Him very effective and an enjoyable journey of faith. On the other hand, if you have a false and twisted perspective of God, your walk with Him will be very difficult, that of a burden and hard loads to carry. The truth is, you will greatly suffer and never walk in the fullness of the blessing of gospel of grace.

Our opening scripture reveals to us the heart of our heavenly Father. David here is a picture of God the Father while Jonathan is a picture of Christ and Mephibosheth is a picture of the church or humanity. One day while David sat in his house, he remembered the covenant he cut with Jonathan and exclaimed, who is left in the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?

FASTING INCREASES YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY

FASTING INCREASES YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY

Pastor Victor

Acts 13:2‭ As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Your spiritual sensitivity is vital in your walk with God. In science, the power of an instrument is known by the level of its sensitivity. The more sensitive an instrument is, the better the results and effective it is.

Your spiritual sensitivity is something that you can increase from time to time. We all don’t operate at the same level of spiritual sensitivity. We have varying degrees of spiritual sensitivity. It all depends on how well you have developed your spiritual sensitivity.

Sensitivity is the ability to pick up signals or stimulus. Your ability to pick up spiritual information and signals from heaven is your spiritual sensitivity. If you are not that spiritual sensitive to the things of the Spirit, chances are, you will miss a lot of vital things that the Holy Ghost would want to do in your life.

BUILD YOUR PRAYER MUSCLES

BUILD YOUR PRAYER MUSCLES

Pastor Victor

Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

There is such a thing as “prayer muscles”. Physically, in order to build a strong body, you have to develop your muscles by exercise and training. No one goes into the gym and began lifting higher weights. One has to begin with what he can lift at the time, and with constant practice, he keeps adding to the weight. This is how the great body builders have done over the years.

Recently I read a little about John Cena the wrestler. When he was in school, he was weak hence he got bullied by the bullies. In order to stand against these bullies, at age 12 he decided to start weightlifting. By age 25 he was a professional wrestler. He is one of the few wrestlers who have won the heavy weight championship more than anyone else. He is the highest paid wrestler in the world today. It all started when he decided to build his muscles.
