CRITICS DON'T DESERVE YOUR ATTENTION

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Critics are losers; I have never seen a critic who is a winner or has been celebrated all over the world. Someone once said, no monument has ever been raised in the honour of a critic. It has never happened. Hence paying attention to critics is the losers battle; it is simply a waste of time that sucks all your energy and creativity. Critics are attention seekers; they are hungry for recognition. Ignore them.

One time some fellow criticised Mike Murdock. And for one hour Mike Murdock was trying to find words to answer this particular critic. Finally, he came to himself and said, even my mother who inspired me to learn how to play the piano, I have never spent that amount of time trying to write her a love letter. You see what I mean? Again, don’t pay attention to critics.

Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

One of the deceptions that satan has used over the years against the church is “demon consciousness”. I tell you that the majority of the body of Christ are more conscious of the devil than they are of Christ.

These are the people who spend countless hours just dealing with some demon or some little witch. Most of their prayers are all about the devil. This implies that without the devil, they don’t have a prayer point. Check through the New Testament and you will see the kind of prayers that we are supposed to pray.

Ephesians 1:17‭-‬18 says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”‬‬‬

BELIEVE IN YOUR WORDS

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

This is by far one of the most powerful verses of scripture. Kenneth Hagin preached nearly all his life on this scripture. It is one scripture that clearly shows the operation of faith. It will do you a lot of good to study it and apply the truths into your life. If you don’t, I guarantee you that you will not see the power of God as you ought to.

Our opening scripture came from an incident where Jesus cursed a fig tree and it dried up from the roots immediately. Here Jesus shows us the power of our words. I am not talking about the power of the word of God but the power of “your” words. Your words have power whether you know it or not. Death and life are in your tongue.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Bishop David Oyedepo told a story of one of his relatives who was reported to be insane. When he visited the family he was told about the case. And he asked that they should put the insane fellow into his car and let him see the devil that will enter into his car. They got the mad fellow into his car and madness went back to sender.

There was no need for prayer. It was dominion consciousness that won the battle. The insanity just knew that there was no way it could enter into the man’s car. The devil knows if you are dominion conscious or victim conscious.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

A mountain could be any obstacle, disease, financial lack or any thing that causes worry and anxiety. But what ever your mountain is, it can be moved according to scriptures. You have to believe what the Bible says concerning your mountain and not what the experts and the world are saying.

Jesus gives us the reason why mountains don’t move: unbelief. And I believe more than ever, this generation is baptized in unbelief than generations gone by. If you are gong to walk by faith in this age, you will require a lot of discipline and tenacity in the word of God to do so. This generation is so fleshly minded; they believe what the senses tells them than what the word of God tells them.
