JESUS WILL MEET YOU AT THE LEVEL OF YOUR FAITH

New Years EveJESUS WILL MEET YOU AT THE LEVEL OF YOUR FAITH

Luke 5:4‭-‬6 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

If Peter had let down his nets, he would have gotten more fishes than he had. Jesus said, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets..... “Nets”  is plural but Peter let down his “net”, singular. The grammatical construction is not a mistake.

Peter was not really sure if what Jesus said made sense so, he did not go all the way. And he got what he believed. If he had let down His “nets”, he would have ended up with lots of fishes than he had.

TRUST THE LORD WITH YOUR LIFE

New Years EveTRUST THE LORD WITH YOUR LIFE

Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

When God speaks to you, you do something. But when God direct your paths, you don’t have to do anything – He speaks to the paths to align to His purposes and plans for your life. And this only happens when you trust and commit your ways to Him, and acknowledge Him in all your ways.

In this instance, sometimes you just find yourself doing the right things without any effort of yours; you just find yourself saying the right words, and even your jokes could even be of the Lord to speak to someone; you just find yourself at the right place at the right time with the right people doing the right things.

It is vital that you commit your life to God to direct your paths. God only direct your paths when you commit your ways to Him. Those who don’t commit their ways to the Lord would have to direct their paths themselves.

JESUS IS THE KEY TO ANSWERED PRAYER

Pastor Victor Akpovwerha Dec 2020JESUS IS THE KEY TO ANSWERED PRAYER

Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

There is nothing like having your prayers answered. The excitement that goes with it is incredible. However, there are laws governing prayer, which if put to work, will guarantee results. You can have all your prayers answered if you know what to do.

The key to answered prayer is Jesus. You have to fully get this truth driven deep into your spirit. Our opening scripture speaks of Jesus’ death on cross. God gave Him up to die; it wasn’t the Romans soldiers who really killed Him; God gave Jesus up to die for our sins.

Then it goes on say that, if God did not withhold (which is the word “spared not”) Jesus from us, how shall He not with Him give us all things? What the scripture is saying in essence is that, if God gave you Jesus, there is nothing He will withhold from you. Hallelujah!

CRITICS DON'T DESERVE YOUR ATTENTION

Pastor Victor Akpovwerha Dec 2020CRITICS DON'T DESERVE YOUR ATTENTION

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Critics are losers; I have never seen a critic who is a winner or has been celebrated all over the world. Someone once said, no monument has ever been raised in the honour of a critic. It has never happened. Hence paying attention to critics is the losers battle; it is simply a waste of time that sucks all your energy and creativity. Critics are attention seekers; they are hungry for recognition. Ignore them.

One time some fellow criticised Mike Murdock. And for one hour Mike Murdock was trying to find words to answer this particular critic. Finally, he came to himself and said, even my mother who inspired me to learn how to play the piano, I have never spent that amount of time trying to write her a love letter. You see what I mean? Again, don’t pay attention to critics.

Our world is filled with critics; on radio, television, and internet, you see these self-acclaimed social critics. Show me any successful, rich and prosperous critic in the world. There is none. All critics are broke and losers. They spend their time trying to find fault with successful people. This implies that, without successful people, these losers don’t have a career. Their whole lives are centered around other people’s success, finding ways to demean them.

WHAT ARE YOUR PERSUASIONS?

Pastor Victor Akpovwerha Dec 2020WHAT ARE YOUR PERSUASIONS?
Monday, 7th December 2020
Pastor Victor

2 Timothy 1:12 …… for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

You cannot just be living your life on Earth as believer in Christ just like that; you must believe something. What I mean is that there must be revelations of scripture that you have come to believe them strongly and your life is founded on them. Luke calls it “the things that are most surely believed among us”.

What have you believe concerning long life? I tell people, I will be here for a very long time; I have seen it in the word and my faith have taken a hold of it; it is part of the covenant. What have you believed concerning divine protection? What have you believed concerning divine health? What have you believed concerning divine prosperity? What are your persuasions of life? What are your convictions in life?

You will eventually become what you believe. What you have believed is what forms a shield of protection around you, that even in your sleep you will still whip the enemy. What you believe is what determines what comes to you. What you believe is what determines the happenings of your life – nothing just happens.
