ACTIVATING SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS OF THE SPIRIT

James1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The things of God can be activated. And one of the things to do to activate specific instructions is to obey the general ones given in scriptures. If you don’t read the letter that I wrote to you, why should I pick my phone and call you? There are those who don’t read and practice what the scriptures says, but expect God to talk to them and give them specific instructions for their lives – it does not work like that.

General instructions are all of the instructions giving in scriptures which include tithing, giving of Firstfruit offering, fasting, prayers, studying the word of God, attending church services, honoring leaders, loving one another, believing the prophet, etc.

Isaiah 30:20‭-‬21 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

GRACE IS THE MOTHER OF ALL DOCTRINES

Galatians 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

For some section in the body of Christ, grace is one of the doctrines in the Bible. To them, you have subjects like faith, hope, prosperity, the second coming of Christ etc. and then, grace is one of those subjects. No sir! Grace is the mother of all doctrines. If you don’t know that, I doubt your interpretation of the entire scriptures.

Every doctrine that we teach must have the undertone of grace. Grace is that golden thread that must run through every teaching and doctrine. If what we teach doesn’t have the undertone of grace, it is not truth.

Our opening scripture is part of a portion of scripture which speaks of two women, Hagar and Sarah, who represent two mountains. Hagar represent mount Sinai, while Sarah represent Jerusalem which is the mother of us all. Hagar speaks of the law while Sarah speaks of grace. Thus grace is the mother of all doctrines. Let this truth sink deeply into you. It will help you in Bible interpretation.

YOU RULE BY FEEDING

Psalms 28:9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

As pastors and leaders, you do not rule by exercising dominion on God’s people. You rule by feeding them. When God said, you shall rule my people, He meant you shall feed them with knowledge and understanding.

God is the one who set up pastors and leaders in the church to feed His people. We are not there to lord over God’s heritage. 1 Peter 5:2‭-‬3 says, “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being Lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.”‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

JESUS IS ALTOGETHER LOVELY AND PERFECT

1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Every where you turn Jesus, He is all perfect and altogether lovely. When David came against Goliath, scripture says he took five smooth stones. And with one of those smooth stones, he struck the giant down and brought great victory and deliverance to Israel. That smooth stone is a picture of the perfection and sinlessness of Jesus.

John a man of love said, "In Him was no sin" (1 John 3:5). Peter a man of action said, "He did no sin" (1 Peter 2:22). Apostle Paul a man of knowledge said, "He knew no sin" (2 Corinthians 5:21). Even His betrayer said, I have betrayed "the innocent blood". Notice is not an innocent blood but "the innocent blood". It tells you that there is only one innocent blood. Jesus is sinless.
