Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

When God brought Israel out of Egypt by an outstretched arm, He led them through the wilderness to the promised land. On their way, when they came to Sinai, God gave them the law of commandments and made a covenant with them.

Exodus 19:7‭-‬8 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.

WEALTH AND RICHES BELONGS TO GOD

Psalms 50:9‭-‬12 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.‬‬

God claims ownership on everything that is in this world. We have to appreciate that. We are only caretakers of God’s inheritance. When you know this very well, you will be a humble person. Because you will realize that, everything that you own is actually God’s.

In essence, we do not actually own anything. We are all products of God’s grace and mercy. Even your very life belongs to God. How much more your substance? Psalms 24:1‭-‬2 says, “The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.”‬

THE MOUNTAIN OF DELIVERANCE

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession. Obadiah 1:17

Scripture tells us that we have come to Zion (Hebrews 12:22). This implies that we have come to a place of deliverance and holiness. Deliverance is our inheritance. The devil seeks to bring you into bondage. But never yield to his tactics and oppressions. We have been delivered from the dominion of darkness and have been translated into the kingdom of His dear Son.

Colossians 1:13 says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” The devil has no right to oppress any of God’s children. Jesus came to preach deliverance to the captives. Luke 4:18 says, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

TURN ON THE LIGHT TO DISPEL THE DARKNESS

John 1:5 The light keeps shining in the dark, and darkness has never put it out. CEV

Darkness cannot stand light. When light comes darkness has to go; there is no argument there. I have never seen darkness wrestling with light; darkness respects light and respond accordingly, anytime light shows up. Light is the master of darkness. Hence when you have light you can chase every darkness from your life.

When you walk into a darkroom, it will be ridiculous to fight with the darkness. The smartest thing to do is to turn on the light. And then you can see clearly and appreciate the things that are in the room.

SOMETIMES 5 MINUTES PRAYER IS NOT ENOUGH

Matthew 26:42‭-‬44 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.‬‬‬

There are times that 5 minutes prayer is just woefully inadequate to tackle the real issues of life. Jesus spent about 3 hours praying about just one prayer point. When you spend 3 hours praying about one prayer point, you will know that prayer is more than mumbling some few words.

Jesus was wrestling with going to the cross. And He wanted to be in the will of God for His life. He prayed until He completely yielded to the will of God. By the time He was done praying, He was strengthened enough to face the cross.
