Your hunger is what draws the power of God to your direction. God doesn’t have time for those who are not hungry for spiritual things. God only satisfies the hungry. You cannot experience true power without a strong spiritual hunger for the Spirit and the word.

1 Peter 2:2 Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation, AMPC

Genesis 13:2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

Today’s money is losing value by each day through inflation. This is one reason why it makes a lot of financial sense to hedge your money. As governments around the world prints more money, it loses its value. In 1971 when President Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard, the dollar stopped being money and it became a currency.

In real essence money is not wealth. If the government of this country Ghana decides that the Ghana cedi is no longer a legal tender, what happens to your millions of cedis that you have? Useless! So you see, the value of anything called money is determined by the government.

Ephesians 5:18‭-‬19 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

This is an instruction from the Spirit of God. He is instructing us to be filled with Him. That means this is something that we can actually participate in. He tells us what not to be filled with – do not be drunk with wine wherein excess. Then He tells us to be filled with the Spirit – what it means is to be drunk with the Spirit.

The Message translation says, “Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him.” (Ephesians 5:18)
You can be filled with the Spirit. And to be filled with the Spirit is not a one-time experience; it is an everyday experience that any child of God can have.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

You do not hit the gold of the word in one search. Knowing the word is a process and not a one time hit adventure. When I started studying the word at the initial stages of my Christian faith, I didn’t get the juice of the word immediately; it took some considerable amount of time.

I read things in the Bible that I did not understand them; but I kept on reading them anyway; I was persistent. Then suddenly the juice started flowing and I started mining the gold of the word.

O YE OF LITTLE FAITH

Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? KJV

What Jesus meant in the statement above is not what many have thought or think. Many have referred to this statement as the size of faith which is not accurate. In this context, Jesus wasn’t referring to the size of faith. To understand this very well you will have to look at the Greek rendering.

The term “O ye of little faith" appears 5 times in the scriptures, and appears only in the gospels, 4 times in the book of Mathew and once in the book of Luke. And in the Greek, the term “O Ye of Little Faith” is from one Greek word, “Oligopistos” which means lacking confidence – this refers to unbelief. Thus, “O ye of little faith” is more of the nature of faith than its size.
