Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Right there in the first chapter of the book of Genesis was unveiled to us the kingly nature of Almighty God. The chapter opens by showing us how God created the earth through speaking. God spoke into being what He desired. He did not wish them into being; He spoke them into being.

God is a speaking God. When He speaks, angels and men carries out His assignment, wishes and plans on earth.

Rom 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

The content of your prayer is vital; if it is full of rubbish, heaven does not respond. Heaven only respond to prayers that are consistent with Christ's redemptive work. Our human vocabulary does not have what it takes to truly commune with God effectively. It is totally bankrupt when it comes to spiritual communication. This is why we need supernatural help when it comes to prayers. And this help has been made available for us by the help of the Holy Ghost.

I remember we also read all kinds of poison in the process of seeking and searching for truth, wanting to know God the more.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; KJV

Years ago, we were told that if you don’t live right the Holy Ghost will not live in you. This I believe hindered most people from receiving the Holy Spirit, because in their minds, they were not qualified. I have heard people who were in great shock as they watched people that in their minds were not living holy received the Holy Spirit and spoke with tongues, while they went home without receiving. The reason the Holy Spirit came is to help you live holy. Without Him you cannot live holy. And the fact that He lives in you means you are holy.
