Effortless Change Through The Word

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with OPEN FACE BEHOLDING as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Effortless change is possible. I know it may sound strange to many people because most people believe change is by effort. There is a technology of the Spirit that can bring you effortless change. And that change can only come via thinking on the word of God.
The word of God is a mirror. This is one beautiful description of God’s word. Mirrors don’t lie; they only reflect the object under its view – it produces the very image of the object. One major use of mirror in our everyday lives is in dressing and beautifying the nature of our face. We act in accordance to the image we see in the mirror. And by that, we perfect whatever is wrong. God’s word is the true mirror by which our lives can be perfected to become exactly what God intended it to be.
To enjoy a life of continuous transformation one has to behold (look, think and meditate) into the word of God on a daily basis. The opening scripture is so powerful. Let’s dissect it. The word phrase “open faces” has to do with “unveiled faces”; this implies faces that are not veiled or covered by the law since when Moses (the law) is read, it brings blindness to the people. So in order to enjoy the transformation the word gives, you have to look into it with unveiled faces; it implies studying the scriptures with a "grace consciousness and perspective".
Those who study the word with veiled faces (law consciousness) don’t get much of what the scripture communicate because the whole scripture is about Jesus. This is one reason a lot of folks study the word for hours and don’t get the life in the word. Make sure you study the word with a Jesus consciousness.

For instance, the word says “the soul that sin shall die”. That’s true. But if you study with a Jesus consciousness, you will know that Jesus has died that death for us. Hence those of us who are born again, even though we sin we shall not die because Jesus has paid the penalty for us. This is how to behold the word with unveiled faces – bring everything under the powerful lenses of grace. The word “beholding” is in the present continuous tense; it implies an unending looking into the word. Beholding the word is not a onetime experience but a life time. Those who behold the word once a while don’t get much – they can’t enjoy the power and transformation in the word. You have to make it a constant practice to behold into the word every day.
There are people who will say, I don’t have the time. Well, then you are not ready for change. Change is for those who mean business; those who are tired of being on one spot for years and want to move forward and make their life count. The word "change" is from the Greek word “metamorphoo” which has to do with change from one state to another. And we are changed into the same image we see in the mirror of God’s word.

You can change from being timid to being bold and confident. Inferiority complex will vanish into thin air as you begin to see yourself as God sees you in the word. The word has the ability to put springs in your steps. The word can change you from poverty to riches and abundance.
So whatever you see in the word, you become it with time as you continue beholding it. And this is by the Holy Spirit who is behind all of these changes. So keep on beholding the word and see your life move from glory to glory. The word has power to change anybody; but it is only through beholding that this change can be released into your life. And this change is effortless; it is not by struggling and will power. All you need to do is to spend time beholding and meditating on the word day and night.
