CULTIVATING THE HEART FOR FRUITFUL LIVING

Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
The heart is likened to the ground according to parable of the sower given by Jesus and the word of God is the seed of God.
Your heart is the center and control room of your life. Everything in your life emanates from your heart. That is why scriptures admonishes you to guard your heart with all diligence.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Thus your heart is the ground for the word to be sown for fruitful living in Christ Jesus. This implies that you will have to cultivate your heart just like the farmer cultivates the ground for growing his crops.
You need to pull out weeds from your heart. Weeds (unforgiveness, envy, pride, lust for deceitful riches etc.) are elements that competes with the placement of the word in your life. You will need to pull out thorns (cares of this life) from heart. You will need to fight off predators (devils) that tries to take the word from your heart.
Also, you will have to water your heart through consistent prayers and praise and worship to soften your heart toward the word.
An uncultivated heart is dangerous – it cannot produce any significant results. Don’t leave your heart uncultivated. Cultivate your heart to enable the word to produce amazing results in your life. Hallelujah!
