Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
I love topical study. It is one of the quickest way to learn and grow in grace and in the truths concerning the kingdom of God. Topical study means studying of topics; and in this context, we are talking about Biblical subjects. The Bible is full of great topics for study. Some subjects include faith, meditation, love, evangelism, marriage, financial prosperity, and success in ministry.
One time I wanted to get strong in the subject of “Spiritual Authority”. I got myself tapes of men of God like Carlton Sharp, having being instructed too by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome on this subject, and coupled with other men of God. I chanced upon an article written by Watchman Née which was so detailed and contained a lot of material. Together with my Bible, after a thorough study, I was so inundated with God’s word; and it gave me great understanding and stability in my walk with God.
One reason why I have been so grounded in the gospel of grace is because I decided to study on grace. And God blessed me with lots of materials of anointed men of God like Joseph Prince and Andrew Wommack. I imbibed these tapes spanning hundreds of hours again and again. Now that’s a lot of discipline; but it paid off. And I am still doing it till today.

THE DEFAULT MODE OF THE BELIEVER IN CHRIST

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
When we talk about the default mode of an object, we are talking about the real or original state of that object. For the believer in Christ, your default mode of is victory. You are born of God and you have overcome the world. You are not trying to overcome the world; and this is the reason why you can over come any circumstances you face in life. You are an irresistible force.
The default mode of the believer is divine health. Sickness and diseases are not part of Christ’s redemptive provision. Christ took all your sickness in His own body when those stripes were laid on Him. Sickness is not your default mode. Thus when sickness attacks you, you should quickly switch to your default mode which is divine health. Refuse to be sick.
The default mode of the believer is rest. Worry and anxiety are not part of your life. There is no reason to worry about anything in life. The reason why most believers in Christ worry is that, we have taken our eyes from the love of God. When you know by revelation that God loves you, you will become stable and unshakeable; you just know that you cannot go down for your heavenly Father will come through for you.
