Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Your participation in church activities is vital to your walk with God. We were created unto good works. There is nothing like being saved and has nothing to do. We were saved for a purpose. We were saved unto good works which God preordained for us in Christ Jesus. You cannot truly claim you are serving God rightly, if you are not involved in kingdom activities of your local church.

Neh 3:5 And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

The noble men of Tekoa did not put their necks to the work of the Lord. For what reason, I do not know. This might have hindered the Lord's work because these were noble men who had influence among the people. These are the people who should be spearheading the project but rather decided to sit on the fence.

WHAT CAN WE DO WITHOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES?

Isaiah 28:11‭-‬12 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.‬‬

One particular night, after praying in tongues for while, I asked myself, what can we do without speaking in tongues? I was just enjoying speaking tongues. As I spoke in tongues that night, I found my self ministering to my family. I laid hands on my kids speaking words full of faith and power. Then I turned to my wife, blessing her life, speaking words of life.

As a believer in Christ, you cannot do without speaking in tongues. If you don’t spend adequate time speaking in tongues on a consistent basis, you will not be able to live the victorious life in Christ. Our opening scripture says, speaking in tongues is the rest and refreshing, that He may cause the weary to rest.

Speaking in tongues emboldens you. As you speak in tongues, you are emboldened; your fears and doubts begin to disappear and fade away. Are you discouraged? Are you fearful? Are you full of doubts? Spend quality time speaking in tongues. Just continue to speak in tongues until the fears disappears.

DRIVE THE WORD DEEP INTO YOUR HEART

1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

The word has power; the power of God’s word is not something we can fully explained; it is beyond measure. You will do well to get the word into you; the word is all you need to develop and grow in the kingdom of God.

But the word on its own cannot produce any result in your life. The word has to be planted in your heart before it can produce the harvest. Your heart is the ground for the sowing of God’s word.

It is not enough to have the word or receive the word. The word has to be driven deep into your heart in order for it to be able to produce the desired result. The word in your head is not enough. You have to take that word in your head and drive it deep into your heart.

YOU HAVE BEEN DELIVERED FROM THE WRATH TO COME

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Most people including some believers are afraid of the wrath of God. This is a true indication that these fellows have not been grounded in the gospel of grace; they have not come alive to the love of God. If you know God’s love, the breadth, height, length and depth, you will not be afraid of the wrath to come.

There is such thing as God’s wrath. There is no doubt that one day God’s wrath is going to be revealed against all ungodliness and sinful men. Any one who does not believe in Jesus for his salvation is doomed to eternal damnation.

I love what Archbishop Benson Idahosah once said, “One day this whole world will be silent.” We have to live with eternity on our minds. If you are not born again, don’t waste any more time. Ask Jesus to come into your heart right now. If you are born again, rejoice and get others saved.
