2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

God is a faith God. And without faith it is impossible to please Him. It takes faith to have an effective walk with God just as l shared with you yesterday. Sometimes God tells you not to go to certain places or cut off certain relationships; don't ask stupid questions about why you should obey. Just simply obey.

One day God spoke to me clearly and said, "You have to learn to trust that inner voice.” In this instance, God was referring to the inner witness which is the voiceless leading of the Holy Ghost. One time I had this minister friend; nothing bad has happened between us but God asked me to cut off the relationship with this guy. Remember as at this time I was asking God to give me ministerial friends. Till today I did not know why. I tried to find out but never got an answer and I simply obeyed.

YOU HAVE THE BLOOD COVERING

Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Previously, I shared with you that as new creations in Christ Jesus, we are a blood bought people. It means we are a special class of people on the face of the earth; different from the rest of the world. We are the church of Jesus Christ (called out people). There is something special about you; you are not an ordinary fellow walking down the street. You are special. You are unique. You are one of a kind. You are a wonder on the face of the earth. Believe it!

Being blood bought means we have Almighty God's hand of protection. If you go to the market to buy something of great price, you will not allow anyone to toy with it; you will protect it jealously. God's eyes are upon you for good because of the blood. When the blood of bulls and goats was applied on the doorposts and lintels of the Israelites, death couldn't penetrate. Much more the blood of Jesus will do for us today.

IT TAKES FAITH TO WALK WITH GOD

Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

You cannot have an effective walk with God without faith; in fact, you cannot walk with God without faith for it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). The story of Abraham is a true picture of faith. When God called Abraham to leave his father's house to a land He will show him afterward, he left not knowing exactly where the land was. He went out by faith; believing that God will guide him. He believed God and embarked on the journey not having the full details of his assignment.

WE ARE BLOOD BOUGHT

WE ARE BLOOD BOUGHT

Hebrews 9:19-20 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

As new creations in Christ Jesus, we are a blood bought people. Hallelujah! Christ died to purchase us with a heavy price. Our price tag is the precious blood of Jesus. From our opening scripture, we were told that Moses sprinkled the blood of calves and goats upon the people; and by this act they were enjoined in a covenant with God.

Under the new covenant, we have a greater blood sprinkled on us; and it is the blood of Jesus - this is our very price of redemption. Today, we are in covenant with God through the blood of Jesus. We have the mark of the blood on us.
