Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Very often you will hear some believers tell you that, I don’t have time to go to church, or pray or get involved in evangelism. They will say, Pastor, these days I am very busy. Yet, you will find these same people making time for funerals, parties, weddings, etc. God gave us 24 hours in each day; and that is enough for each one of us to make something good out of it and serve Him acceptably.
I have read many stories of people on their death bed; the common thing you will hear from each one of them is that, they have lost value for anything in this world; what mattered to them is their eternal security and life. Every believer should aim to be a generous person. There is no blessing in being stingy. The man who scatters his seed will end up having more. While the man who holds back, will end up lacking. You have to decide where to pitch your tent. The scripture is clear on this:
Proverbs 11:24-26 says, “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. 26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.”
